Remember those days of postcard sending, letter writing, pen-pals? We loved it, whether you were letting your Aunty know that the weather was good in sunny Cornwall, or jotting down your thoughts to your latest pen-pal.

‘Postcards from Britain’ is our, almost modern version of those days now passed, but never forgotten.

Our musings of a Britain – past and present, available to all our friends, past and present.

I was born and grew up in Britain, a traditional working class background followed by a decade in the armed forces. After leaving the forces, travelled extensively with work, but always loved that return trip to home – Britain.

It’s easy to lose sight of, that in amongst all the daily noise, challenges and frustrations Britain remains a wonderful place to live. It’s certainly not the same as it was when I was younger, but to me it’s still Wonderful Britain.

‘Postcards from Britain’ is part of Wonderful Britain – an eclectic mix of websites which, in their own way celebrate the positive aspects of a beautiful country.
